Kundapur: Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in Byndoor here, on Saturday, November 21.
Janardhan Acharya (48), a teacher by profession, was killed after a sand carrying truck hit his motorcycle on the National Highway at Nakatte near Byndoor. Assistant teacher in Vasre School near Byndoor, Janardhan was riding back home after work when the accident occurred.
In another incident, Gopal Poojary (40), a resident of Navunda, died after a trailer rammed his bike when he was travelling to the Tahsildar’s office. He was killed on the spot. Gopal Poojary was working in a hotel.
Cases have been registered against the sand-laden truck and the trailer in the Byndoor Police Station.
