Shimoga: Baselios Marthoma Paulose II Inaugurates Newly-Built St Gregarious Syrian Church Hulikal

Shimoga: The blessing and inauguration of newly-built St Gregorius Syrian Orthodox Church at Hulikal Shimoga district was held on Saturday December 5.

Catholicos Baselios Marthoma Paulose II, the Supreme Head of the Indian (Malankara) Orthodox Syrian Church blessed and celebrated the solemn Eucharist at the newly-built St Gregorius Syrian Orthodox Church Hulikal here.

Catholicos Baselios Marthoma Paulose II presided over the stage programme after the Eucharistic celebration.

Catholicos Baselios Marthoma Paulose II, in his presidential address praised the hard work of all the people who were involved in the Church building project and implored God’s blessing s on all the people present.

During the programme the sponsor of the Church Raju Vargese Couple and parish priest Fr Abraham Kuriakos were felicitated.

Metropolitan of Calcutta Diocese Dr Joesph Mar Dionysius, Rev C A Isaac Vicar General of St Mary’s Syrian Cathedral, Fr Lawrence D’Souza, Fr David Crasta, Fr Benni David, Fr Sunil Thomas, Fr Ashwin Ferandes, Fr Noel Lewis, Dicon Shiju, Sujay, Trustee Anil Rodrigues, Ivan Suares, I Thomas and others were present.
