Benzema at Real Madrid training after French suspension

Madrid, Dec (IANS) Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema trained normally with his club teammates hours after learning that the French Football Federation (FFF) had decided to provisionally suspend him from the national team until accusations of being allegedly involved in a plot to blackmail countrymate Mathieu Valbuena are clarified.

The French forward tweeted that he respects the decision of the FFF. Benzema joined Real Madrid’s morning group training on Friday under command of coach Rafael Benitez, to prepare for the Villarreal match on Sunday, in the 15th round of La Liga, Efe reported.

Real Madrid Castilla players, such as Marcos Llorente and Mariano, and Real Madrid Juvenil A player Salto joined the workouts as well, which did not include Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane, who are training privately until they recover from their muscle injuries.
