17 killed in Madhya Pradesh accident

Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh), (IANS) At least 17 people were killed and 12 injured when a bus collided with a truck in Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday, police said.

Khandwa Superintendent of Police Mahendra Singh Sikarwar told IANS that the bus was coming from Indore and the accident took place on the Indore-Khandwa road, eight km from Khandwa city.

Fifteen people died on the spot, while two died in a district hospital, the police official said. The injured people were undergoing treatment.
