HCL awards first grant to ‘Going to School’ NGO

New Delhi, Jan 19 (IANS) The HCL Foundation has announced the first HCL Grant of Rs.5 crore ($740,000) to the ‘Going to School’ (GTS) NGO here.

The winning NGO was selected from six finalists and felicitated by President Pranab Mukherjee here on Monday evening.

The NGO will receive the first instalment of the grant immediately on announcement. Subsequent instalments will be milestone-based.

GTS was established in 2003 as a charitable trust with an aim to create interactive stories of role model that would inspire children to stay in school.
