Kevin McKidd, wife call it quits
Los Angeles, July 3 (IANS) “Grey’s Anatomy” star Kevin McKidd is heading for divorce from wife Jane after almost 17 years of marriage.
The couple got married in 1999 and share two children” son Joseph, 16, and daughter Iona, 14.
In a statement to E! News on Saturday, the actor’s representative — on behalf of the couple — said they had jointly decided to end their marriage, reports eonline.com.
“They look forward to continuing to co-parent their children, who have been their top priority, and will to continue to enjoy a close and caring relationship,” the statement read.
According to entertainment news portal TMZ, Jane recently filed papers to end their marriage, just weeks before their 17th anniversary, and is acting for joint custody of their children and spousal support. It stated that the two split in October last year.
McKidd, also known for playing Tommy in the 1996 movie “Trainspotting”, and his family live in Los Angeles.
The actor was born in Scotland and became an American citizen last year. His wife and kids accompanied him at his swearing in ceremony in California.
