Sonia condemns ‘gruesome’ terror attack in Kabul

New Delhi, July 24 (IANS) Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Saturday condemned the “gruesome” terror attack on peaceful demonstrators in Kabul.

Expressing her grave concern and grief, she said: “Though several cities of the world have been attacked in the last one month by practitioners of organised and mindless terrorism, it will only strengthen our resolve to stand united and decisively fight the forces of division and terror, irrespective of their faith or belief.”

She also extended condolences to the people of Afghanistan and bereaved families and wished fast recovery to the injured.

At least 80 people were killed and over 230 injured when Islamic State suicide bombers targeted a mass demonstration in the Afghan capital on Saturday.

Gandhi also condoled the passing away of celebrated Indian artist Syed Haider Raza.

  1. Sonia knows what is going on in her own country – Italy. The country is being overrun by illegal immigrants (Arabs) coming from North Africa and middle East. The right wing parties in Italy, Austria, Hungary, Germany, UK, France, Belgium and Sweden are gaining huge popularity due to crime and threats associated with this massive immigration. Still, she plays politics in India by refusing to identify the enemy by its name. This is very dangerous situation. I’ve a feeling that right-wing parties are going to gain power in many countries due to utter failure and propaganda by regressive media and fake-secular parties. This is not a good news for democracy, free speech and individual freedom.
