60-year-old Bus Owner Jumps into Netravati River?

Mangaluru: A 60-year-old man is said to have committed suicide by jumping into the Netravati river here on August 10.


The man has been identified as Narayan Alva (60), a resident of Jappinamogeru. He is the owner of Ganesh Prasad Bus.

According to sources, Narayan was suffering from Kidney ailment and was on medication. On August 10, early morning Narayan went out on his car and never returned. Family members searched for him everywhere but were unable to trace him. His car was found parked near the Netravati bridge. It is suspected that he might have jumped into the river.

Pandeshwar police have reached the spot for investigation, search is on for Narayan.
