Puttur: Landslip near Yedakumeri Delays Bengaluru Train by Four Hours

Puttur: A landslip at the 75th kilometre Arebetta between Sakleshpur and Subrahmanya railway track in the early hours of Wednesday delayed the Yesvantpur-Mangaluru-Karwar train by four hours.

The landslip took place soon after the upward train from Mangaluru to Yesvantpur passed the spot. Hence the train towards Mangaluru was held over at the Yedakumeri station. Passengers in the train said that most of the compartments happened to remain inside a tunnel.

The track-clearing work was taken up immediately. The train scheduled to arrive at the Kabaka-Puttur station could reach only at 10-45 am.
