Amrita Rao down with viral infection

Mumbai, Nov 15 (IANS) Actress Amrita Rao is under the weather with a “nasty” viral throat infection. The actress says she is on the road to recovery.

“Heya howdy? I’m recovering from a nasty bout of viral throat infection… Have these shaped pills for company,” Amrita tweeted.

The 33-year-old has starred in films like “Ishq Vishk”, “Welcome to Sajjanpur”, “Vivah” and “Satyagraha”. She will next be seen in “The Legend Of Kunal”.


Shahid Kapoor’s virtual PDA

Actor Shahid Kapoor opted for a virtual route to send out love to his wife Mira.

The actor, who got married earlier this year, shared a selfie with Mira, and his friends Masaba Gupta and her would-be husband Madhu Mantena.

The trio can be seen striking a pose for the camera with all smiles. The “Shaandaar” actor shared the photograph on Twitter with a heart emoticon.

Madhu and Masaba will be tying the knot later this month, and it is reported that the star couple, who have made news whenever they have stepped out together, will be performing at their wedding.


Manisha Koirala hires lady bodyguard

Manisha Koirala has devised a new way to empower women. Instead of picking bulky men for her security, the actress has hired a lady bodyguard. She says “only women can safeguard each other”, adding that it’s a small step towards change.

“Woman bodyguard! Only a woman can safeguard each other… Starts within a family and then spreads in society,” Manisha shared on Twitter, where she also posted an image of her newly-recruited bodyguard.

The popular Bollywood actress will be seen on the big screen in the Malayalam film “Edavappathy”. She is also gearing up for a Hindi psychological thriller “Chehere”.
