Srinagar (IANS): Using state-of-art technology, an internet radio exhorting Kashmiris to rise against India has been launched.

Posting the news about the launch of the anti-India internet radio on its website, anti-India news portal Kashmir Media Service said on Thursday: “Radio Sada-e-Hurriyet-e-Jammu Kashmir has launched its round-the-clock internet transmission. It has been effectively projecting the human rights violations by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.”

The launch of the internet radio assumes significance in the backdrop of the cancellation of National Security Advisor-level talks between India and Pakistan and the growing Line of Control (LoC) violations in Jammu and Kashmir.

During the 1965 India-Pakistan war, an underground radio station – Radio Sada-e-Kashmir – had started broadcast in September 1965 which used to air news about the actions carried out by infiltrator in the Kashmir Valley.

The infiltration had finally forced India to carry out military strikes against Pakistan on the LoC and the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

Although ‘Radio Sada-e-Kashmir’ claimed to be carrying out its broadcast from the valley, it was later established that the broadcast was being aired from across the LoC in Pakistan-occupied part of the state.

To counter the anti-India propaganda carried out by ‘Radio Sada-e-Kashmir’, the local state-controlled Radio Kashmir also started highlighting the successes of the Indian Army against the infiltrators and on the borders against the Pakistan Army in 1965.

The latest anti-India internet radio broadcasts programmes in Kashmiri, Urdu, English and Hindu.

Intelligence agencies here were tight-lipped on Thursday about the broadcasts and on whether action was in the offing to block such broadcast.

  1. It amazes me that Syed Ali Shah Geelani states that he is not an Indian. By that logic, India should not grant him a passport and since he is involved in anti-India activities, he should not be allowed to stay in India but allowed to go to Pakistan or Somalia or he can go and coddle with ISIS. If anti-national elements who have run away from law are living in Pakistan, why cannot Pakistan make him their State Guest?

  2. Firstly, it was wrong for the BJP to have associated with PDP, because one is Rightist (and feels it is patriotic and nationalist) and the other is a party with, again, religious (and pro-Pakistani leanings). Therefore, the PDP is very soft with Syed Ali Shah Geelani, separatists and Pakistan. Narendra Modi tends to be an eloquent speaker and a man-of-action when it suits him and other times, he is not to be seen, viz. Kashmir, Sushma Swaraj, Vasundara Raje, Shivraj Chauhan, etc. Matters concerning the nation should take precedence over yoga, chai pey charcha, man-ki-baat and other issues. By not taking actions against bad elements in his party (for the sake of party unity), he has not done the right thing. In fact, many people are turning around and asking what happened to his tall pre-election promises? Had he dispensed off with undesirable elements, rather than letting them to indulge in mud-slinging at the opposition to cover their faults, people would have said that Narendra Modi is a credible person and he meant what he said and that would have improved his party’s prospects at the next hustings.

Secondly, the best thing is to dissolve this lame-duck State Government and bring the State under President’s rule with free hand given to the military and local forces to go all out after terrorists, their bases, their sympathisers in the State, etc. India should develop Israel’s policy for every Indian killed, ten Pakistanis should be killed and so much losses inflicted on the enemy, i.e. soldiers, their military hardware, roads, bridges, etc. If Israel had adopted India’s pacifist attitude, it would have been erased from the world map in 1967 (which Israel won not because it was militarily strong, but because it did not wait Egypt and her allies to start the war, but did a pre-emptic strike based on sound strategy and tactics etched by Gen. Etizak Rabin, leading destruction of 85% of the much vaunted Egyptian Air Force on the air bases itself).

No Pakistanis should be granted visas to visit India, overlights should be stopped, imports and exports stopped, separatists forces fighting against Pakistan should be assisted monetarily, militarily and by training and the Indian Government and its Diplomatic Missions all over-the-world should indulge in campaigns with print and electronic evidences to brand Pakistan a territorist country. Pakistani should be made to realise in no uncertain terms that if they play smart with India, they get a dose of their own medicine.

The words “Pakistan” and “Pakistanis” are not well received in most countries of the world, Pakistanis are not respected and most countries insist they apply for and have visas before entering their countries. I have seen on the Youtube, warnings by an advanced country’s diplomatic mission (in Pakistan) to not enter his country illegally or they will be held in detention in Papua & New Guinea (and some Pacific island).

    • Sorry for the mistake. I meant to say, “pre-emptive strike,” and not “pre-emptic strike,” which has been done through an oversight.

Once again, sorry for the goof-up.

    • Day-before,-yesterday during the function at the Delhi University, my friend, who is a professional met Arvind Kejriwal and had a chat with him.

I told my friend that I had great hopes on the Aam Admi Party being a new-kid-on-the-block, however, after reading media reports, I felt that Arvind Kejriwal too is stereotype like all other Indian politicians. He then told me that, “Nelson, Arvind Kejriwal is just like you and me and quite approachable and not sitting in the ivory towers like most netas.” He said that Arvind Kejriwal may not be perfect, but compared to both BJP and Congress Governments that did nothing for Delhi, he has done a lot for the people of Delhi. Then, he went on to say Sheila Dixit was absolutely rotten.

  3. It amazes me that Syed Ali Shah Geelani states that he is not an Indian. -Mr.Nelson Lewis

Sir,Vaiko was the first member of Parliament and chief of a registered political party in the country to be detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, 2002. He was released after spending 18 months in prison. What is your stand and view with political parties supporting terrorism from the soil of India which cost the life Late PM Rajiv Gandhi?

Why the investigation has not broadened, when the Intelligence input and threat perception has already relayed to him by his friend Late Yasser Arafat? Do India need laws to stop political parties clinging power or forging alliances?

Why autonomous Election commision of India will not deregister and seize the Passport who are posed threat to Republic of India?

Is BJP is power hunger who compromised with state security?

Sir, Wars won’t be the solution for human tragedy? If you turn the pages of History it has only brought destruction and bloodshed.

    Jai Hind

  4. @ Nelson Lewis: You are right. BJP is on a wrong path in its Kashmir policy. India is too lenient on these rats in kashmir who live here and support Pakistan. Let there be no mistake – these rats are not alone. There are hundreds of thousands of such traitors living in India who secretly admire Pakistan. You are also right in bringing up Israel – I only wish we (India) had a strong leadership as Israel does.

@ Sharia Shaikh: When are you going to stop apologizing for Pakistan and start supporting India? Or, Is it too much to ask for? Don’t lecture us on war and human tragedy. India has been very patient with terrorist nation of Pakistan. Do you agree that Pakistan is a terrorist nation?

    • Mr. Original R. Pai,

For academic interest, assume that Pakistan had Israel on its eastern borders as a neighbour, instead of India. Israel would have wrought destruction and misery on Pakistan rendering them to be impotent. Israel would have ensured that Pakistan was not allowed to have any nuclear facilities, be is for civilian or military purposes.

Thery would have liquidated all the terrorists having sanctuaries and haven in Pakistan itself and suffocated Pakistan. so much so that Pakistan would have pressed the self-destruct button to acceded to adversary’s demands.

The Sonia Gandhi and Dr. Manmoihan Singh jodi messed up everything during their ten years rule. I met an elderly Sardar yesterday and the topic came to Dr. Singh. He told me the Sardar community do not have any respect for him and consider him a puppet of Sonia.

  5. Mr. Shaikh Mohd. Rizwan,

Kindly note that my French teacher Mr. Dorabjee, used to say, “Rule is rule for a wise or a fool”. Therefore, when it comes to me, whether it is Rajiv Gandhi’s killers, Congressmen who instigated the 1984 Sikh riots, the Godhra massacre, the riots that took place in erstwhile or present day Mumbai when Sharad Pawar was the Chief Minister and so on and so forth should be brought to the book and all the accused who are convicted should be put in the slammer. In the 2008 Pakistani terrorists attack, the Chief Minister of the State and the Police Commissioner got away unscathed.

Are you trying to blame me for this? Are you trying to say that I have favourable bias for some and am unfavourable to those I do not like? If someone has done good, I praise them and if that same person has done something wrong, then I am critical. As simple as that.

    • Kindly note that my French teacher Mr. Dorabjee, used to say, “Rule is rule for a wise or a fool”. – Mr. Nelson to Mr. Shaikh

And my grandma used to say – ಜೌಲ್ಯಾರ್ ಬುಖ್ ಲಗನ (if you eat, you won’t feel hungry).

  6. Does the Indian state’s military action satisfy the requirements of a just war?

    1. Last Resort

A just war can only be waged after all peaceful options are considered. The use of force can only be used as a last resort.

    2. Legitimate Authority

A just war is waged by a legitimate authority. A war cannot be waged by individuals or groups that do not constitute the legitimate government.

    3. Just Cause

A just war needs to be in response to a wrong suffered. Self-defense against an attack always constitutes a just war; however, the war needs to be fought with the objective to correct the inflicted wound.

    4. Probability of Success

In order for a war to be just, there must be a rational possibility of success. A nation cannot enter into a war with a hopeless cause.

    5. Right Intention

The pirmary objective of a just war is to re-establish peace. In particular, the peace after the war should excede the peace that would have succeeded without the use of force. The aim of the use of force must be justice.

    6. Proportionality

The violence in a just war must be proportional to the casualties suffered. The nations involved in the war must avoid disproportionate military action and only use the amount of force absolutely necessary.

    7. Civilian Casualties

The use of force must distinguish between the militia and civilians. Innocent citizens must never be the target of war; soldiers should always avoid killing civilians. The deaths of civilians are only justified when they are unaviodable victims of a military attack on a strategic target.
