Attack on Youth Congress Leader, 2 Security Guards Held

Mangaluru: Bunder Police have arrested two security guards from the City Centre Mall in the city for attacking Youth congress leader Tejaswi Raj, here on August 15.

The arrested have been identified as Raghunath (25) a native of Arunachal Pradesh and Dilip from (21) from Orissa.

Speaking to mangalorean.com Tejaswi Raj said, “On August 15, I thought of watching a Movie and at around 4:45pm, I went to the City Centre Mall. When I was waiting on the road in front of the Mall, two security guards came and said to move my car. The security guards instead of working for the city centre, were trying to control the traffic on the road. When I did not pay attention to their command, they attacked me with the walkie-talkie which was in their hand. I too reacted in self-defence”.

Tejaswi Raj has been admitted to the hospital with head injuries. Both Raghunath and Dilip were arrested by the Bunder police for questioning.

A case has been registered in Bunder police station.
