B-Town chants ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ on Mahashivratri

Mumbai, March 7 (IANS) Celebrating Mahashivratri on Monday, celebrities like Lata Mangeshkar, Hema Malini, Madhuri Dixit and Madhur Bhandarkar sent out good wishes to their fans and well-wishers.

Mahashivaratri is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in reverence of Lord Shiva. It is the day when Lord Shiva was married to Goddess Parvati.

Here’s what the celebrities had to say:

Lata Mangeshkar: Om Namah Shivay. Aap sab ko Maha Shivratri ki mangal shubh kaamanayein. (Om Namah Shivaya. Wishing you all a happy Mahashivratri).

Hema Malini: In Mathura on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. May the Lord shower his blessings on all of us on this holy day…Have a blessed Shivratri.

Anupam Kher: Happy Maha-Shivratri to all of you and Happy Birthday to me. Jai Ho.

Madhuri Dixit: Aap Sab ko Maha Shivratri ki mangal Shubhkamnayein! Happy Maha Shivratri! (Good wishes to all of you on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. Happy Maha Shivratri!)
