Bantwal: 20-year-old Bharat Dies of Train Hit at Marnabail

Bantwal: Bharat (20), son of Taniya, died after being hit by a train on the Hassan-Mangaluru track on Friday night.

He was a wicker-basket weaver. He had been to watch a Yakshagana show nearby and was returning home. He is suspected to have been hit by a running train late in the night.

As he did not return home even until late hours, his family members went in search of him in the early hours of Saturday. His body was found on the tracks in a mutilated state.
