Bantwal: Bike-rider Dies in Serial Mishap Involving Bike, Lorry and 2 Buses in Ramalkatte

 

Bantwal: Monsi (21) from Kerala, who was pillion-riding with Suresh, died in a serial road mishap that took place at Ramalkatte near Thumbe around 11 am on Thursday.

Suresh, who hails from Ramalkatte, is also severely injured and has been hospitalized. They both were into laying of concrete rings in sinking of wells. As they reached the turn at Ramalkatte, an Eicher lorry is said to have collided head-on with the bike.

They were thrown to the road and sustained critical injuries. Monsi died in a hospital at Thumbe. On the other hand, Seeing the two vehicles collide, the driver of a private bus coming from behind applied sudden brakes. Not having anticipated it, a KSRTC bus hit it from behind.

Fortunately, the no passengers in either bus was injuried.
