Bantwal: Entrepreneur P Ashok Kumar Dies in Lorry-bike Collision at Kodapadavu

Bantwal: P Ashok Kumar (50), resident of Panjigadde in Vittal Padnur village and a well-known social and political figure, died in a collision between his Royal Enfield Bullet bike and a lorry at Saravu in Kodapadavu in the taluk on Monday.

He was on his way home riding the bike after dropping his college-going daughter. The lorry, belonging to an industry in Balipaguri, was on its way to Vittal. Negligent driving by the lorry driver is said to have caused the collision.

He was an active BJP leader, involved in temple-related matters and in the cooperative sector. He is survived by his father, wife, a son and a daughter.
