Bantwal: Addressing a media meet here on Friday, Muralidhar Hasantadka, the Mangaluru zone convener of Bajrang Dal, alleged that there was a political conspiracy in the arrest of two persons on charges of killing Harish Poojary of Hale Gate in the taluk.
He further said that the Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Bajrang Dal condemned this policy of riding over the Hindu community by the police.
He also said that the state government had observed the birth anniversary of a controversial person thereby harming the sensibilities of the Hindus. In order to justify its action, a Hindu activist like Bhuvith Shetty was being framed in the murder case, he added.
He charged that this was being done to appease a certain community ahead of the forthcoming zilla panchayat and taluk panchayat elections.
He also cautioned that severe protests would be staged if attempts were made to suppress the Hindu organizations through false cases.
VHP’s Bantwal taluk president Sarapadi Ashok Shetty and others were present on the occasion.
