  1. I think coming to judgment before a thorough investigation is jumping the gun. A person who kills his wife and children would hardly be bothered about who gets his insurance (if any, coz insurance is not given in suicide cases). Not only are the mother and brother the benefitors, but also out of the scene on the crucial day having been there a day before and also living not so far. I am not blaming them, but only pointing to the coincidence. The bagpiper could have been planted. The fact that he had no economic problems and also no real conflicts between husband and wife (relationship or affairs) leads to the fact that this could be a premeditated murder and the letter could have been written in duress (he could have been forced to write the letter at the fear of injury to his wife or kids. Let us wait for the reports and investigation. People would do anything for money and property.
