Bantwal: Protest against Yettinahole to be Held in Front of Minister Rai’s Office on Jan 21

Bantwal: The pro-social justice committee of the taluk has decided to stage an indefinite protest in front of state minister Ramanath Rai’s local office here.

The step is in protest of the stand taken by him with regard to the diversion of river Netravati. The protest will begin on the day at 10-30 am.

The committee took this decision at a meeting held last week, with the unit’s president Krishna Allipade. He said that a questionaire highlighting ten points and asked him to respond within a set time-frame.

Besides, there was no favourable response from the government to the agitation which was being held over the past four months. Therefore the committee felt the need to carry on the protest at a higher level.
