Bantwal: PUC Student Feared Drowned in Netravati river

Bantwal: A PUC student is feared to be drowned in the Netravati river at Kaikunje here on October 12.

Akbar (17), a resident of Nandavar and son of Hameed and is a student of Adarsh College B C Road.

According to sources, Akbar along with his friends went to have a dip in the river Netravati. While they were enjoying in the water, Akbar was dragged away by strong currents. Others who were with him screamed for help, the locals rushed to the spot to rescue Akbar but in vain.

The fire brigade and experts reached the spot to search for Akbar but they could not trace him. The search is on to find Akbar.

Bantwal town police are investigating the case.
