Bantwal: Running Car Catches Fire in Punacha – Owner Escapes to Safety

Bantwal: As Jayant Nayak, an agriculturist from Posavalike, was driving his car home on Friday evening, it suddenly caught fire at Koorelu in Punacha village.

An engine fault is said to have caused the mishap. As smoke began to come out of the bonnet, he could sense trouble and stop the vehicle so that he could run to safety in time.

As soon as he parked it, the flames spread all over and the car was left in a skeletal form within minutes.
