Bantwal: Two Jersey Cows Lifted from Shed in Kallige during Early Morning Hours!

Bantwal: Shridhar, a resident of Periyodibeedu in Kallige village near here, has filed a complaint in the town police station here over a case of daylight cattle-lifting from his cowshed.

The theft took place in the early hours on Thursday. Shridhar heard the bleats of panic from the cowshed. When he came out, a saw a Tempo vehicle speeding away from near the shed towards Nettarkere.

Two milch cows of Jersey breed were missing. By the time the police were informed, it is suspected, the cattle-lifters appeared to have covered a long distance and could not be chased and traced.

The owner has mentioned the value of the cows as Rs 45,000.
