Bantwal Woman Dies in Saudi Road Mishap, Family Injured

Bantwal: Umaima (37) of Manchi Kukkaje origin from the taluk, died in a road mishap that took place in Al Gariyah in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

She lived with her husband Abdul Razaq (40) in the Kingdom for many years. Their children Arifa (18) and Muad (9) are schooling in India. In view of the holidays, the children had gone on a visit to Saudi Arabia.

As the schools were reopening here, the children were to return here. Before leaving, they had gone to do shopping on Sunday morning. On the way, their car rammed into a median and ended up in a mangled state. Umaima is said to have died on the spot.

Her husband and children sustained critical injuries and are in the ICU of a hospital in Dammam.
