Beaubelle Products to target premium, mid-segment saloons, spas

Chennai, Nov 20 (IANS) City based beauty and skin care products marketer Beaubelle Products & Care Pvt Ltd is targeting premium saloon and spa chains in eight cities with its Beaubelle range of products, said a company official.

The company will also come out with another brand – B&B Labs – of beauty and skin care products targeting mid range saloon and spas.

“We are launching our range of beauty and skin care products first in major Indian cities like Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Jaipur, New Delhi and Kolkata. Based on the results we will go pan India,” N. Shabeer Ahamed, managing director of the company, told the media here.

According to him, the company sources the products from the Malaysia-based $50 million Beaubelle group that owns the two brands and also runs an academy for beauticians.

“While the Beaubelle range of products will be sourced from Switzerland where it is contract manufactured, the B&B Labs range of products will be sourced from Malaysia,” Ahamed added.

According to him, there are around 260-280 premium branded saloon chains including those in the star hotels in the cities where the company will be launching the Beaubelle range.

“The market size for the products in that segment is around Rs.20-30 crore,” Ahamed said.

According to Ruby Siah, Beaubelle Group CEO, the beauty skin care products were made from plant, marine weed and other natural extracts.

Siah said India was a key market promising immense potential for her company’s products.
