Beauty Pageant Winners Seek Support in their Fashion/Modelling Career

Mangaluru: Beauty pageant are fun. There is nothing like getting dressed up and being seen by other people. As a young child, most of our favorite pastimes was playing dress-up, pretending to be a prince/princess or a singer onstage. Pageants give you a time to dress to the nines, wear the best outfit, put your hair in an up-do, and enjoy the spotlight.

Taking this interest a step further, you can research the colors which work best with your hair, skin and eye color. Then analyze your figure to find the most flattering styles to accentuate your good points. Take modeling courses to help you walk gracefully and with good posture. This could also lead to paying modeling jobs.

The most important of a million reasons to enter a beauty pageant-Male or Female Beauty Pageant is to build self-confidence. Even if one does not win the contest, the act of participation itself might be quite a way to boost your confidence, if not taken to the extremes. After all, despite the claims made by various groups, everyone likes to know that they are somehow appreciated, be it for their intelligence or their looks. Gaining confidence is good for any person of any age. Taking part in a pageant will surely help to build a person’s confidence because the event will be held in front of an audience of friends and strangers. Even if a contestant does not win, the fact that she participated is enough to lift her spirits and raise her confidence.

While it is obvious that the central aspect of any beauty pageant is, well, beauty, there is other qualities that a winner must display to get the title/tiara/sash. Most contests have their own set rules, but it seems to be common knowledge that a real winner should not only be beautiful but also intelligent, true to herself/himself, not fake and capable of taking interest in various social issues and do a fundraising. Because out of the whole weekend, you learn so much that it’s beyond mind blowing what you can grasp!

So, it opens doors to modeling, acting, hosting, advertising, fundraising, performing, and much more! Even if you want to speak out about things you are passionate about for philanthropy points of views as well! Pageants give you a time to showcase your talent with other wonderfully artistic young contestants: enjoying their routines, picking up hints for improving yours, and thoroughly enjoying your moment in the limelight. Any talent competitions help you work towards that professional edge beauty pageants winners possess and may lend you a good job! One of the simple reasons to enter beauty pageant is that somebody has to win, and your chance of winning is as good as anyone else’s. As the saying goes, you’ve got to be in it to win it. And for that matter three winners of the Titles namely “Mr Karnataka”; Miss Mangaluru” and “Mr Mangaluru” addressed the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club. Mr & Miss Karnataka international 2017 finale was held during the month of May 2017 at Forum Fiza mall, where contestants from all the parts of Karnataka state participated to this beauty contest. There were 20 finalist for the finale, and the event included ramp walk, dance and distribution of trophy and prize. Mangalorean Mr Sandeep Shetty and Miss Prakriti Ramachandra from Mysore won the title Mr and Miss Karnataka International titles respectively. The event was organised by Fashion ABCD and Sizzling Guys Dance Studio-both based in Mangaluru. Also during the event, in the subtitle round, Mr Sourabh Shetty and Miss Shreya Harish were judged as Mr and Miss Mangalore respectively. .

Mr Sandeep Shetty is basically from Katipalla, in the outskirts of Mangaluru, and is a graduate from Karavali College Mangaluru, in hospitality science. Presently he is running his own business. Previously he has judged quite a lot of dance reality shows. He has been selected to represent India in Mr World International to take place in the month of September 2017. Miss Prakriti Ramachandra has just completed her 2nd PUC at a college in Mysuru, and she too will compete in the Miss world International pageant. Miss Shreya and Sourabh are students, during their college studies in Mulky and Mangaluru respectively.

Addressing the media, Sandeep Shetty, Shreya and Sourabh shared their experiences, and thanked Charan Suvarna of Fashion ABCD for grooming them, and also Shubakiran Mani for training them in dancing etc, which was essential for their pageant. The three pageant winners also made a kind request seeking support from the media in particular, and public in general in supporting and encouraging them in their fashion and modelling career. Charan Suvarna from fashion ABCD and Shubakiran Mani from sizzling guys who were also present during the press meet, who were proud of their students also spoke and complimented all three on their achievements.
