Beltangady: Dharmasthala Police Outpost Upgraded, to Function as Full-fledged Station

Beltangady: Dakshina Kannada superintendent of police Dr Sharanappa S D has informed that the police outpost at Dharmasthala has been upgraded to the level of a full-fledged police station with immediate effect.
The station will function under the jurisdiction of Bantwal subdivision. Requisite staff have been sanctioned. Until they are posted in full strength, a few have been drafted from other stations on a temporary basis.
Now nine staffers have begun serving in the new station. Three who were already serving at the outpost will continue in the same positions.
A few villages which were under the purview of Uppinangady station and another few under Beltangady have been shifted to the charge of the new station.
