Beltangady: Town Police Crack Totattadi Theft Case, Nab Culprit and Seize Loot

Beltangady: The Christmastime theft in the house of Kuriakose of Totattadi village in the taluk has been cracked by the town police.

They have arrested M J Peter (36) of the same village. He had been absconding after the theft as the finger of suspicion were pointing at him.

On receiving information that he was arriving from Charmadi towards town, the police team intercepted the car he was travelling in and arrested him.

During interrogation, he confessed to the crime. Rs 1.50 lakh in cash, 80 gms gold, 50 gms silver, original documents of house ownership, seven passbooks, rubber sheets and other items of total value of Rs 3.50 lakh have been recovered from him.
