Belthangady: Fuel Tanker rolls over and Catches Fire – Two Critical

Belthangady: Two persons were injured in a tanker collision at Laila, Belthangady here, on June 24.

According to sources, the fuel tanker was plying towards Chikmagalur from Belthangady. At Laila, when the driver of the tanker tried to avoid hitting a motorcycle, he lost control and hit an electric pole, resulting in the tanker rolling over.

The tanker immediately caught fire. The driver and the cleaner of the tanker were severely injured.

A case has been registered in the Belthangady Police Station. The identity of the injured is yet to be known.
