Bengaluru: Female Worker Hanged, Sexual Assault Suspected

Bengaluru: A female construction worker was abducted and later found hanged in a eucalyptus grove around HSR Layout.

The deceased has been identified as Chhaya who was a native of Odisha. According to sources, it is suspected that Chhaya was abducted by some men and later hanged on early morning of January 5. It is not clear if the victim was sexually assaulted before being killed.

According to the police, Chhaya had arrived in Bengaluru a few months back and was working as a construction worker. Her husband is jailed in a case related to theft.
