Bengaluru: Grieving over Mother’s Demise, Amazon Employee Ends Life by Jumping off High-rise

Bengaluru: Vineet Poornachandra (24), a resident of Tippasandra and employee of Amazon online shopping firm, ended his life by jumping off the 14th floor of a high-rise condominium at Kadugodi.

Vineet was the second of the three issues of Poornachandra and Meera couple. Poornachandra was a police inspector and had died early in life twenty years ago. On compassionate grounds, his mother Meera was given a job in the office of the director general of police here.

Meera was affected by cancer a few years ago and had been undergoing treatment. She succumbed to the ailment on Thursday night.

Having lost his father at the age of four, he was since then deeply attached to the mother. He got her treated by several specialists, yet she did not survive.

Soon after she died, Vineet walked out of the house on some pretext, went to the high-rise apartment in Kadugodi where his close friend Sohit lived and without his knowledge jumped off the 14th floor. The security guard spotted his body on Friday morning and informed the police.

After completing his Engineering studies, he had joined Amazon online shopping firm.
