Bengaluru: Poll Code Violation by Janardhan Poojary in 2014 – High Court Stays FIR

Bengaluru: A criminal complaint against senior Congress leader and former Union minister B Janardhan Poojaryhad been filed by one G V Rajashekhar in the Mangaluru north police station, alleging that he had violated the model code of conduct for elections.

The police in turn registered a first information report (FIR) against Poojary and filed a chargesheet on Jan 21, 2015. After hearing the case, the cort had issued a summons to him on Mar 2.

Poojary went in higher appeal to the high court. A single-judge bench with Justice Ratnakala has now issued an interim stay on the FIR.
