Bengaluru: Woman Executive Involved in Multi-crore Investment Scam Nabbed from Delhi

Bengaluru: Vishalakshi Bhat, who worked as manager in HDFC insurance in Madivala in the city, has allegedly cheated celebrities, police officials and others to the tune of Rs 34 crore with offers of high returns and dividends.

Using her position and contacts, she is said to sweet-talked hundreds of individuals and got them to invest heavily into fake offers. She is also accused of holding back premium in several lakhs received from policy-holders without passing into the firm’s accounts.

Vishalakshi Bhat originally hailed from Sirsi in Uttar Kannada and lived in JP Nagar here. She suddenly absconded a few days ago when her misdeeds came to light. She took shelter in different parts of the city to evade arrest.

Finally, a specially designated team of city southeast police went on a trail of her phone calls and tracked her down in Delhi. She was being brought to Bengaluru.

Those who were cheated by her included a relative of Sumalata, former actor and wife of politician Ambareesh.

Vishalakshi is said to have been leading a high-profile life, often holidaying in exotic destinations.l

    Sir, I think she is from United states (like RSS dishon if they appear major crimes). Perhaps she must be missed from Originals Investigative journalism. She must have taken flight from Pakistan via Kashmira to land herself on Doddana through Morocco.

    Is he still tracking her in COCO Beach?
