Bhaskar Shetty Murder case: Accused Niranjan Handed over to CID for investigation
Udupi: In the Bhaskar Shetty murder case, the prime accused Niranjan Bhat has been handed over to the custody of the CID for additional investigation on September 15.
On September 6, the main accused Rajeshwari Shetty, Navaneeth Shetty, Niranjan Shetty and the other accused Srinivas Bhat and Raghavendra for destroying the evidence, were produced before the court and their custody was extended till September 19.
The CID team had requested to house the accused in separate jails. According to the request, the court ordered to keep Niranjan Bhat and Navaneeth Shetty in the Mangaluru Jail and Srinivas Bhat and Raghavendra were sent to Hiriyadka jail.
The CID investigation officer DySP Chandrasekhar had requested for Niranjan Bhat’s custody. The judge passed the order to hand over Niranjan Bhat to CID custody. On September 17, the CID investigating officer should present Niranjan Bhat to the court.
