Bhaskar Shetty Murder Case, Judicial custody extended till Sept 19
Udupi: All the five accused in the Hotelier Bhaskar Shetty murder case were produced before the court on Tuesday, September 6.

The Judicial Custody of Bhaskar Shetty’s wife Rajeshwari, Son Navaneet, Astrologer Niranjan Bhat, Niranjan’s Father Srinivas Bhat and Driver Raghavendra ended on September 6, they were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court by the DySP CID Chandrashekar. The court has again extended the Judicial custody for all the five accused till  September 19.

On behalf of the Public prosecutor, an appeal was made to the court to shift the prime accused Navaneeth and Niranjan, who are at presently  housed in Hiriyadka Jail for investigation, to shift to District Sub-jail in Mangaluru.  At present, they are housed in Hiriyadka Jail along  with Srinivas Bhat and Raghavendra in a single cell.
After hearing the argument the Chief Judicial Magistrate allowed shifting Navaneeth and Niranjan to the Mangaluru Sub Jail. The other two accused Srinivas Bhat and Raghvendra who destroyed the evidence will be housed in the Hiriyadka jail.
