BJP leader expelled for offering prize money for cutting Kanhaiya’s tongue

20160305-kanhaiyaBadaun (UP), March 5, 2016 (PTI) The president of district unit of BJP, Harish Shakya, said that the party has expelled district president of BJP Yuva Morcha, Kuldeep Varshnay for six years.

The BJP Yuva Morcha leader, who had announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for cutting off JNU Students union leader Kanhaiya Kumar’s tongue, was today expelled from primary membership of the party for six years.

Shakya told reporters that party has nothing to do with Varshnay’s controversial statement.
“Varshnay’s statement is his personal one and the party has nothing to do with it…he has been expelled from the primary membership of the party for giving such a statement without the consent of party office bearers,” he said.

Shakya stated that a notice to remove Varshnay from the post had been issued six months ago, and Ankit Maurya was made working president in his place.

Varshnay had yesterday announced Rs 5 lakh prize money for cutting off the tongue of Kanhaiya Kumar who he had alleged was speaking against the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi ever since he was released on bail.

Kumar who was arrested on February 12 on sedition charges was released from the Tihar jail on March 3 after the Delhi High Court granted him interim bail for six months.

  1. This BJP leader should actually be arrested by Police for inciting violence. This crosses the boundaries of free speech as he actively encouraged violence against an individual. BJP did the right thing by dissociating itself from this ignoramus.

    • Mr. Original R. Pai,

I agree with you. However, the fault is with BJP (and other political parties) for giving tickets to stand elections to oaks, dim-wits, crooks, scoundrels and other undesirables. BJP has Members of Parliaments, who are riff-raffs, sanyasis, sanyasins, a H.R. Minister, whose qualification is a matter of debate and she interacts with people, who are so highly qualified that, if she were to make an attempt to achieve them, she would have to plead Almighty to give her another life spanning 50 to 60 years. I have been told by Goans and it reminds me of Babush Montserrat of the earlier Congress Government in Goa. He was an Education Minister and he had studied up to IX Standard. Do you think this is sane or silly?

      • However, the fault is with BJP (and other political parties) for giving tickets to stand elections to oaks, dim-wits, crooks, scoundrels … – Mr. Nelson

Sir, did you mean to say “oafs”?

        • Dear Mr. Praveen,

I mean to say, “oafs,” but sadly wrote, “oaks,” and am very sorry for the goof-up. How did I commit this bhool?

  2. Kanhaiya is trying to fool others by his speech. What is clear from his speech is that he ha no ideology apart from spreading poison in society and dividing the nation along the line of cast and creed.Govt should take strict action against him.The person who is not aware of his poor and aged parents ambition is delivering the speech like a mentally sick politician.

    • Mr. Deepak Shetty,

Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar is not foolish. If you feel that he is foolish, then why can you not have a peg or two, go to a town or village square in the Mangalore or Udupi Districts, borrow a chair, stand on it and give a fantastic speech and speak with a flourish. If your speech is great, people will give you a thunderous ovation, you will be garlanded and some fairer sex with heart-warming or, shall we say, heart-melting smiles, will come and peck you. How sweet? However, do not forget to return.

This may launch your political career.

If you cannot speak with a flourish, then you will be stoned and hounded. Therefore, think over it or concentrate on running your shop selling idlis, dosas, medhu wadas and other eatables. When I come to Mangalore, I will patronize your shop, but offer me generous discounts.

  3. The BJP is adroit at publically distancing itself from BJP leaders who state in public what the party leaders and members discuss in private. BJP is enraged at Kanhaiya for making his case eloquently before a wide audience.

    • Mr. Roy,

On 09th February (pardon me, if I have mentioned the date wrongly), when JNU students had gathered, I suspect that some irresponsible elements have raised slogans that amounted to sedition and glorifying Afzal Guru. However, the culprits could be some disgruntled students or some goons who may have encroached into JNU and after creating a ruckus and mischief, may have slipped out. One has to understand that mischief mongers are as slippery as an eel.

The police came to know only after it was highlighted, shown and blown out of proportion by the electronic media. Here, I am not blaming the electronic media, because it is their job to do so and, if required, apply spices and sauces to make the story appealing and dramatic. That is there business and they are good at it.

We have to thank the electronic media making us aware of many things, scandals, frauds, etc. which, otherwise, would have been swept under the rug, which was continuously and regularly done, especially in those days when sources of news were confined to State-controlled and muzzled Akashwani and Doordarshan (and the print media, which had its limitations).

When the Central Government came to know about it, they put pressure on their pet, B.S. Bassi, the Commissioner of Police, Delhi, till 29.02.2016 and H.M.V., a flunky and an obedient servant. Naturally, as the Central Government wanted results, the politicized police had no time and went after soft targets without conducting a thorough probe to show their political masters quick and speedy results and, in return, B.S. Bassi earns their gratitude and favours. It simply boomeranged. How sad for you B.S. Bassi?

Why did the Delhi Police not show the same efficiency and thorough, but display a lackadaisical approach while investigating Susanda Pushkar’s death, if media reports are to be believed?

A couple of times before retirement, B.S. Bassi has told the electronic media that the Delhi Police have enough evidence against Kanhaiya Kumar and others that would nail them. In that event, how come they were not able to produce the evidence? Amazing stuff!

  4. BJP District Unit President, Mr. Harish Shakya, has done the right thing by expelling the BJP District Yuva Morcha President, Mr. Kuldeep Varshnay, for six years for offering a reward of Rs. 500,000 to anyone cutting the JNU Student Leaders’, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar’s tongue.

It is high time BJP asserted itself by disciplining its cadres or rank and file from making irresponsible, provocative and inflammatory statements that could incite violence and have ramifications. India has police and an independent judiciary and, over and above that, a free press that will highlight the plight of affected parties. So, should anyone go berserk or misbehave, then there are the laws of the land to take care of the situation. Let us not allow irresponsible elements to have the freedom to say or do what they want and radicalize the situation. India needs peace and harmony.

  5. Sounds like a v peaceful lad. Doesn’t he, Rampa?

From his name, I guess he THE latest terrorist apprehended from the LeT. 🙂

  6. Mr Nelson lewis,
Bharath ki barbadi tak jung rahega ,afzal guru amar rahe, pakstan zindabadh,,,,,,what you cal this person ……intelligent guy for you he is mahatma for me deshdrohi
For your idli dosa cheap comment …..don’t worry right now I have a job I think you have a lots of time to do that…….take care

  7. Only expelled! There should be a national law, if the politicians of any party are delivering such messages must be put into jail. Many street goons hearing such jungle raj rhetoric will take the knife and cut somebody’s tongue, that will be the effect of our words. What did the BJP do with the MP from Karnataka classified the 1.6 Muslim people of the world as terrorists?

  8. Dear readers,
At a condolence meeting here for VHP worker Arun Mahaur, who was killed last week by some Muslim youth, local BJP MLA Jagan Prasad Garg told the crowd, “You will have to fire bullets, you will have to take up rifles, you will have to wield knives. Elections are approaching in 2017, begin showing your strength from now onwards,”as per reports published in The Indian Express.
Many BJP leaders were present on the dais including Union Minister of State, HRD, and BJP Agra MP Ram Shankar Katheria as well as the BJP’s Fatehpur Sikri MP Babu Lal, apart from other party local leaders, who joined in the threats to Muslims. The 5,000-odd crowd chanted slogans such as “Jis Hindu ka khoon na khaule, khoon nahin wo pani hai (the Hindu who doesn’t get angry isn’t Hindu enough)”.
“Human skulls would be offered to his martyrdom,” VHP district secretary Ashok Lavania, who has been jailed earlier for assaults on Muslims, said.

BJP’s Fatehpur Sikri MP Babulal urged an open fight with Muslims, and said: “Don’t try to test us… We will not tolerate insults to the community. We do not want unrest at any cost, but if you want to test Hindus, then let’s decide a date and take on Muslims.”

Despite electronic evidence Home Minister Rajnath Singh defended his colleague, junior education minister Ram Shanker Katheria, in the Rajya Sabha , virtually absolving him of the charge of making an allegedly inflammatory speech.

Within three days of Agra inflammatory speech, five times MP from north Canara MP Hegde came to the fame with bad mouth syndrome.Despite being booked for hate speech over his alleged derogatory remarks against Islam, BJP MP Anantkumar Hegde stood his ground and reiterated that it was his “honest” opinion that terror will only end if one particular religious ideology was eradicated.

BJP MP Anant Hegde Defends His Controversial ‘Islam’ Remarks | Raghvendra Dwivedi

Earlier bad mouth syndrome is limited BJP MLA and MP limited to Yogi, sadhvi,Baba it has even spread to the PM Modi’s cherry picked RSS ideology Governors. While English Vinglish Home minister defends the MP and give clean chit,Chai pe charcha is continued from chiwala in his ‘Mann ki bath’ as if nothing happening in India.

As five non-BJP ruled state going for assembly polls in coming months. There will expected rise in communal tension and hate speeches. The state of Kerala bordering with Karnataka will see steep rise in communal activity for which RSS is already enrolled foot soldiers like 2014 Lok Sabha. The BJP which desperately wanted open an account is already announces alliance with party formed by SNDP. Once again BJP is playing caste politics is working on a political alliance with a social organisation that represents the Ezhava caste, the largest Hindu segment in the Kerala. It won’t surprise me if God’s own country may see some bloodshed as election is close by.

While using doctored video as proof to hist JNU agitation with ‘anti-national’,BJP in Assam has different game plan prior to state elections. The detractors of ULFA were surprised how within a month and a half of his extradition from Bangladesh, Chetia(Founders of United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), an insurgent group formed in 1979 to create a sovereign Assam.)could manage bail in all pending Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) cases and in a 1986 murder case in Golaghat.
To be sure, rediscovering Chetia and fasttracking the peace talks ahead of the forthcoming Assam assembly poll may just have a political undertone. For the BJP, which is leaving no stone unturned to dislodge the 15-year-long Congress rule in Assam, Chetia’s emergence could give the BJP some electoral dividends. After all, ordinary villagers came out in large numbers to welcome Chetia in upper Assam, something that got amplified because of live coverage by local television channels.

Why the militant group ULFA matters ahead of Assam Assembly Polls

In West Bengal election is going to be triangular contest.A six phase election which already questioned by CM Mamta Banerjee, may even face illegal Bangladeshi immigrant issue from BJP targeting Muslims which second biggest electoral of the state.

In Tamil Nadu PM Modi’s Home minister is already ensured, it is examining the Tamil Nadu Government’s letter regarding the release of the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s assassins, 7 LTTE’s which includes the former LTTE members. In poll bound Punjab BJP is freeing Khalistanis, honouring Guru Ravi Das wooing Punjab voters. It has also come to light that the home minister had allowed for the release of a convicted Khalistani terrorist lodged at a prison in Bareilly, in Uttar Pradesh, on humanitarian grounds in October last year. Identified as Waryam Singh, he was held guilty by a TADA court in 1990 for taking part in the Punjab liberation movement and is one of the 13 convicted terrorists whose release has been sought by the Shiromani Akali Dal alliance of BJP.

The party of difference RSS political wing BJP has unique way to demonstrate its ‘patriotism’ as per the need of vote bank.
When it comes to display ‘nationalism’ they will use Indian national flag like in Jamau or Hubli Idgah flag hoisting. In some case they even hoist Pakistani national flag on Indian soil, doctored video of ‘Azadi’ to Pakistan using its paid media and cyber cell.

While students are framed with ‘sedition’ charges,BJP is releasing the real terror one after the other. In other hand PM is murmuring only on radio, his MP’s from ‘good governance’ team is continuously giving hate speeches for ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas’.

    Incredible India!

  9. Look at the nauseating hypocrisy by folks like Roy, Joker and AS Beef Mathew. They are too quick to show their outrage and express their ‘strong’ opinion when it comes to sanaathana dharma followers. These embarrassing characters couldn’t even utter a word when a cleric from Bijnoor openly threatened and offered Rs.51 lakh rupees to those who would behead Kamalesha Tiwaari. Then you wonder why minorities are seen with suspicion!! How about a little bit of honesty?

Here is the link to refresh your memory.

  10. “What did the BJP do with the MP from Karnataka classified the 1.6 Muslim people of the world as terrorists?” asks AS Beef Mathew.

Answer – BJP did same thing as your Republican party did with Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and almost everyone in the conservative groups who say far worse things than what BJP MP said!! It’s time for you to stop reading those free pamphlets given at local church and start following national news!!

  11. “However, the fault is with BJP (and other political parties) for giving tickets to stand elections to oaks, dim-wits, crooks, scoundrels and other undesirables: – Nelson Lewis.

I think the main fault is with us (society) and media. We as a society have conveniently lowered standards for these political parties. And, the media has miserably failed to confront bad behavior and educate people on right things. Today’s Indian media is an embarrassment with its double standards and lack of moral courage to do the right things.

This BJP guy is a clueless, illiterate character who doesn’t even understand the difference between free speech and threat!!! However, I’m not surprised by his behavior because we have legitimized similar bad behavior from other groups as I have pointed out with those clerics from Bijnoor – They did equally bad thing by offering Rs.51 lakh rupees for beheading Hindu Yuvasena leader!!! We (society) and more importantly media need to be seen as fair and balanced in approaching these issues. Otherwise, these things will go on!!

  12. They did equally bad thing by offering Rs.51 lakh rupees for beheading Hindu Yuvasena leader!!! -Atheist Mr.Original

Sir,For so called social organisation followers of Sangh Parivar cutting, chopping, burning, raping became passion which prescribed in the great book called ‘bunch of thoughts’.

Not long ago Gandhi scion a son of Animal rights activist Varun Gandhi, swear to holy book of Geeta to chop Muslim hands. In another controversial comment, Karnataka BJP chief and Deputy Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa said that his party would not hesitate to severe the tongues of those who try to divide the state on the basis of religion and caste.

In an apparent to vivid remarks,Babu Bajrangi were found guilty of the murder of 97 people in Naroda Patiya massacre caught openly admitting on camera in sting operation by Tehelka.

While PM Modi is hard selling ‘development’ agenda, BJP MLA Jagan Prasad Garg from UP told the crowd, “You will have to fire bullets, you will have to take up rifles, you will have to wield knives. Elections are approaching in 2017, begin showing your strength from now onwards,”as per reports published in The Indian Express.

This is the reason BJP furiously opposed the Communal Violence (Prevention) Bill 2011 during UPA 2. Today the disease of bad mouth syndrome became so contagious that even Governor are misusing it.It is only RSS political wing BJP is benefited from the communal violence which coincides with every elections which none of parties new how to counter.

Self-proclaimed Hindu Mahasabha activist Kamlesh made derogatory remarks against Muslims and Prophet Mohammed(Peace and blessing upon him) is deliberate act which BJP already distance themselves.

When BJP Yuva Morcha leader, who had announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for cutting off JNU Students union, our Original Pai in his troll may asked me hundreds to cut my finger. While express action against BJP leader,he himself crosses the boundaries of free speech as he actively encouraged violence against an individual. What a double standard?

This is problem in RSS sangh parivar member who were brainwashed so much that, only prescribes hate and violence which whole India is suffering.
