BJP Mahila Morcha Stages protest against forming ACB

Udupi: The District BJP Mahila Morcha staged a protest at the Clock Tower on April 9, against the government’s move to form the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

Addressing the protesters Sheela K Shetty president of district BJP Mahila Morcha said that the government wanted to close down the Lokayukta in the State to protect corrupt officials and ministers. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is weakening the Lokayukta by forming the ACB out of fear of losing power and to save himself and his Cabinet colleagues from corruption cases. The government has constituted the ACB with the intention of killing the Lokayukta. She demanded the state government to withdraw the forming of ACB.

She further alleged that ever since the Congress government came to power several scams have come out and the government failed on every front. The government is playing with the lives of young students by leaking exam papers, it shows the irresponsibility of the government. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has to take responsibility and resign immediately, she added.


ZP member Githanjali Suvarna, Reshma Uday Shetty, Shilpa Suvarna, BJP women leaders Sumithra Nayak, Sandhya Ramesh, Rashmitha Balakrishna, Rashmi Billava, Roopa Pai, Nalini Pradeep, Bharathi Chandrashekar and others were present.

  1. On a different topic, one of the highly overrated ‘journalists’ from India, Barkha Dutta fails and embarrasses herself in an effort to play her role as an ‘apologist’ at a global stage!! See, how she starts throwing sanaathana dharma and Bhaaratha under the bus almost from the beginning even though the debate was on a different faith. Thank (imaginary) God for Ayaan Hirsi Aaali!!! smiles….
