Bogus company promises jobs abroad and cheats
Manipal: A complaint on visa fraud was lodged by a resident of Jastin Villa Padusagri Shivalli, Archana George in the Manipal Police station here, on July 21.
In the complaint, Archana stated that she currently works as a nurse in Udupi and has been operating her Facebook account through her mobile. A person from a company named “Samaya Hilariyas Tours and Travels” sent her a message regarding nursing job opportunities in Finland. Interested in the offer, Archana forwarded her documents to the agency.
She also deposited Rs 3 lakh in a bank account as instructed by Samaya Hilariyas Tours and Travels. Thereafter, the agency stopped responding to Archana.
Archana then filed a complaint against the company and Rahul Patel, Pranali and Manviprasu for ignoring her calls and not sending her the promised visa to Finland.
The Manipal Police have registered a case and are investigating.
