I was born here and I will die here: Aamir

Mumbai/Jaipur : Actor Aamir Khan came under fresh attack on Monday for his “leaving India” comments in the “intolerance” debate with actor Akshay Kumar saying “ups and downs” happen in every country and one should not start giving “bold” statements.

Aamir, 50, whose comments while wading into the “intolerance” debate last November had kicked up a huge controversy, hit back, asserting he never meant that he wanted to leave the country or that India was intolerant.

“Any kind of ups and downs happen in every nation and you can’t get into so much straight away that you start giving such bold statements. These kind of things happen. There are so many good things also which we don’t speak about.
Unfortunately, we have the habit of only pointing out the wrong things but nevertheless everybody has the right to talk,” Akshay told India Today TV.

Veteran actor and BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha said that it was “nadaan” (childish) for some in Bollywood to talk about intolerance and he does not agree with them.

“A lot of people from the film industry brought up the issues of intolerance in haste, and it is childish to do so. I don’t stand by them in this regard,” Sinha said at the Jaipur Literature Festival(JLF). Asserting that no other country is as diverse as India, Aamir said, “I was born here and I will die here.”

“I never said India was intolerant or I wanted to leave the country. I also understand the emotions of those who were hurt. I would like to say that my statement was misunderstood and to some extent media is responsible for it,” the “PK” star said.

‘Tricolour hoisting and modern education opposed in Muslim girls school’KAUR (Greater Noida): Tension erupted in Greater Noida’s Dankaur after some extremists opposed flag hoisting and modern education in a muslim girls school on Monday. The school is recognized and registered with minority welfare department of UP since October 2011. On Monday some people from school authority went to the school to install iron rod to fix the flag but miscreants hackled the labour and asked to leave the place.

This dud Amir Khan needs to visit all madarasas which are anti national and educate the illeterate mullas rather than blurting out about intolerance.

Sir,At the dawn of Independence in 1947, RSS rejected the tricolour national flag and flew only their saffron flag. They weren’t even a part of the freedom struggle and supported the British. So if it was up to them India would have been a colony of England. Yet now they create a lot of noise about “Akhand Bharat” and how Nehru, Gandhiji and our great freedom fighters betrayed India.Among the conditions imposed on the RSS by Sardar Patel for the removal of the 1948-49 ban on it after Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination was “explicit acceptance” of the National Flag.

Even after independence whenthe Tricolour became the National Flag, it was the RSS which refused to accept it as the National Flag. Golwalkar while discussing the issue of the national flag in an essay entitled ‘Drifting and Drifting’ in the book Bunch of Thoughts,an RSS publication and collection of writings of Golwalkar, has the following to say:
Our leaders have set up a new flag for our country. Why did they do so? It is just a case of drifting and imitating….Ours is an ancient and great nation with a glorious past. Then, had we no flag of our own? Had we no national emblem at all these thousands of years?Undoubtedly we had. Then why this utter void, this utter vacuum inour minds?
Home Secretary H.V.R. Iyengar had written to Golwalkar in May 1949, stating, “An explicit acceptance of the National Flag (with the Bhagwa Dhwaj as the organisational flag of the Sangh) would be necessary for satisfying the country that there are no reservations in regard to allegiance to the State”.

Just on the eve of India’s Independence the RSS English organ Organizer (dated August 14, 1947) carried a feature titled ‘mystery behind the bhagwa dhwaj'(saffron flag) which while demanding hoisting of saffron flag at the ramparts of Red Fort in Delhi, openly denigrated the choice of the Tri-colour as the National Flag in the following words: “the people who have come to power by the kick of fate may give in our hands the Tricolour but it never be respected and owned by Hindus. the word three is in itself an evil, and a flag having three colours will certainly produce a very bad psychological effect and is injurious to a country.”

Academic P.K. Datta, an expert on the RSS, explains, “For the RSS, the saffron flag has been the organising symbol…This has basically been an attempt to substitute the multi-cultural nature of the nation-state with a single ideological identity.”

Mango man is the part of the campaign group in the social media up in arm against Muslims to portray as ‘anti-nationals’ for speaking about the insecurity under PM Modi’s India.Be it a Bollywood star or President of India being Muslim they will haunt you everywhere.

Let Manglo man explain me why RSS has abandoned fluttering Indian National Flag for 52 years? Will he able to give me one name from RSS,who participate in the Indian freedom struggle behind Mahatma Gandhi and sacrificed his life for nation?

In this internet age, well meaning kids who lack the full depth of knowledge when it comes to history are easily swayed by RSS propaganda, primarily because no one counters RSS’s narrative. RSS picks and choose select stories to create an alternate narrative that works well for their political career of their arm BJP and is lot more “exciting” than boring reality. Unfortunately these kids are all over internet perpetuating RSS propaganda and legitimizing them to an extent.

      Jai Hind

  2. Well said. You have been pardoned. You stick to Sathya Me Jayathe and Movies. We love your acting. Please do not irritate hard working people like Modiji.

  3. Is Aameer Khaan a taqiyya artist? I am just wondering. He was the one who made those ‘leaving India’ statements when it was fashionable to return awards and talk about intolerance. Now that ‘desha bhakta’ citizens have confronted and exposed these questionable intellectuals, are we seeing a U-turn by these individuals? The social media has given voice to vast majority of Indians who were kept in dark by Indian media. Aameer Khaan’s botched incident is a victory to all those bharatha-loving people who stood up and fought the false narrative peddled by many dishonest groups for political gains!!!

    • ORIGINAL DUPLICATE WONDERS, “He was the one who made those ‘leaving India’ statements when it was fashionable to return awards and talk about intolerance. Now that ‘desha bhakta’ citizens have confronted and exposed these questionable intellectuals, are we seeing a U-turn by these individuals?”
