Where there’s a will, there’s a way – this saying proves true in Susan’s life. Outstanding athlete and truly a pride of Mangalore, Susan Lisa D’Souza was born with abundant talents. Talent and will put together Susan has used every opportunity to prove herself with great success.

She made her athletic debut with a Gold medal at the tender age of 10 and she never looked back ever since then. Susan emerged jubilant winner every time she took part in any athletic meet. Shot put, Discus and Hammer throws are her passions and her relentless effort to excel does take toll of her sometimes. She was selected to represent Karnataka in the National level Jr. athletic meet in Chennai from 26-29 Nov. 2005. But just a day before her scheduled competition she injured her ankle while competing in a District level school meet in Moodbidri, depriving her of yet another glory. She is recovering from injury since then.

Susan Lisa D’Souza is studying in II PUC at prestigious St. Agnes College in Mangalore and is the eldest of the two daughters of Mr. Lancy D’Souza and Mrs. Stella D’Souza hailing from Bondel, Mangalore. She was born in Kuwait and completed her initial studies in Indian Community School Kuwait.

Susan attributes her success to her parents, teachers and coach Mr. Herald Pais, without whose overwhelming support she would not have been able to climb the ladder of success. Hard work, dedication and will to excel have given her immense success, but that does not stop her from yearning for more. Her ultimate ambition is to represent her dear country India at International level and she is working her way hard to reach this goal everyday.
