BSF trooper shoots wife in Kashmir

Srinagar, April 25 (IANS) A Border Security Force (BSF) trooper was arrested on Monday for allegedly shooting and killing his wife in north Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Police said Ghulam Hassan Chowhan, a trooper of the 193 Battalion posted in Rajasthan and presently on leave, shot and killed his wife with a rifle following a scuffle between the two.

“The trooper has been arrested and a case of murder registered in Kangan police station of Ganderbal district”, a senior police officer said here.
