Campus erupts in joy as Kanhaiya addresses students at JNU

New Delhi, March 4 (IANS) Over 2,500 students and teachers gathered at the admin block of Jawaharlal Nehru University on Thursday to welcome JNU students union president Kanhaiya Kumar.

Kanhaiya, who has been accused of sedition, was granted a six-month interim bail by the Delhi High Court on Wednesday.

While addressing the gathering, Kanhaiya demanded that HRD minister Smriti Irani should grant their fellowships and make honest efforts to apprehend those who are responsible for 26-year-old Rohith Vemula’s death.

A Dalit research scholar at University of Hyderabad Rohith Vemula committed suicide on January 19.

“Smriti Irani ji, we are not your children, we are JNUites. Please stop these sedition charges, gives us our fellowships and take moral responsibility for Rohith’s death and apprehend those who are responsible for his demise,” Kanhaiya said while addressing the mass gathering.

Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kanhaiya said ,”Modi ji, when you talk about Stalin and Khruschuv, please talk about Hitler and Mussolini also.”

Showing mass solidarity, students erupted on joy with constant whistling, cheering and clapping.

“PM Modi tweeted and said Satyamev Jayate. I want to convey this to him that I also say the same thing,” Kanhaiya said.

On the controversy of sloganeering, Kanhaiya said,”We are not asking for freedom from India but freedom in India.”

  1. A little while ago it was 22 year old Mr Hardik Patel who upset the applecart of the globetrotter and his equally scheming partner.

And now it is another young man Mr Kanhaiya Kumar.

Why don’t these young men see the miracles created by the globetrotter?

There are so many great achievements by the globetrotter that we should not forget in a hurry!

He is the most travelled abroad PM of India. The closest may have done about three foreign trips in a year.

He is providing a Rs 98,000 crores bullet train to his community from his state (to be paid for by the Indian taxpayers).

He is organising the “Made in China” statue for the Quit India movement architect Mr Vallabh Bhai Patel (on hindsight it is unfortunate that RSS did not see the merit in joining the Quit India Movement, so the mega statue may be a belated course correction).

He is the toughest PM that India has ever seen (according to himself).

He is the greatest showman (so long as the attending crowd is carefully invited).

Now the big question is, who will be the hero of 2019 elections?

Mr Nitish Kumar, Mr Rahul Gandhi, Mr Kejriwal, Mr Hardik Patel, or Mr Kanhaiya Kumar?

Who would the public want out of these as their PM? What if they join forces? Will the globetrotter then take one more trip abroad, never to come back to India?

    • Why don’t these young men see the miracles created by the globetrotter? – Mr. Mangal

Lol! I quite see your point, Mr. Mangal.

However, what beats the Bejesus outta me is why these lil fellas like Hardik Patel & Kanhaiya Kumar can’t see the same! 😉 😉 😉

  2. “Campus erupts in joy as Kanhaiya addresses students at JNU…” Report celebrating a ’28-yrs’ old student who has been turned into a (anti)National hero by (anti)national crowd!!!!

I noticed that beef club members like Manga and joker are very happy supporting this new (anti)national hero!!!! I am curious to know if the ‘azaadi’ group raised more slogans praising their foreign masters in Islaamabaad? Did they raise any slogans calling for India’s destruction and death of Indian democracy that gave them the freedom to say those nasty things? Oh never mind – as per the ‘Bakra’ standards of media, those things should not be published or aired. Good!!
