“The team is very happy with the final result. We were always aiming for a top-3 finish and we made it. I will give credit to Inderpreet whose presence of mind and alertness during the penalty shootout helped us win the match,” Rani said on Tuesday.

“The tournament will help us build ourselves ahead of the Junior Asia Cup,” Rani added.

Team’s coach N.S. Saini too showered praise on the goalie, saying she had a bright future.

“It was a great finish to the tournament. It is amazing the way Indrerpreet kept her nerves during the crucial penalty shootout,” he said.

“She is someone to look out for in the future, and I am happy we have a quality goalkeeper in her. Overall, we delivered in all departments which helped us grab this position,” he said.
