Mangaluru: A Swift car hit an electric pole at Thokkottu over bridge here during the early hours of May 28.
According to sources, the car coming from Kerala towards Thokkottu at a very high speed. At Thokkottu over bridge the driver lost control and hit an electric pole. The driver of the car Ismail (20) sustained injuries on the leg. Other three occupants in the car luckily escaped unhurt.
Electric lives wires were scattered on the road. The locals attempted to contact MESCOM officials but their calls were unattended. Later the police went to the MESCOM office and brought the linemen to the spot.
The traffic police reached the spot and blocked the road until electricity was cut off.
