Case Filed against two for cheating overseas job aspirants

Udupi: A case of cheating has been registered in the Malpe Police Station against two individuals. The complainant Sandesh (24), a resident of Kodavoor, in his complaint has said that he had consulted Ganesh and Ivan for a work visa and a job abroad.

Ivan is said to have promised Sandesh of providing a work visa through his friend Sager Marker, E-Globus Travel Enterprises Private Limited. Ivan asked Sandesh to deposit Rs 25 lakh and Rs 2.5 lakh in the account’s of Sager Marker and Shivaprasad respectively. The payment was remitted in the form of cash and cheque. Anil and Sagar, Sandesh’s friends, also remitted Rs 2.5 lakh in the respective bank account.

As the months passed, there was no news from Ivan about the work visa. Sandesh then filed a cheating case against Ivan and Shivaprasad in the Malpe Police Station.
