Cauvery Row: KRV members hold Rail Roko, Arrested

Udupi: As a call of state-wide rail roko Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Udupi district held Rail Roko at Indrali Railway Station here on September 15 to highlight the Cauvery issue.

The members of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (Praveen Shetty group) Shouted slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

The protesting KRV members, who attempted to enter inside the railway station to disrupt the railway operations, were taken into custody by the police.

A heavy police security was put in place at the Indrali Railway Station to prevent members from entering the station to block the movement of trains by squatting on the track. The DySP Udupi Kumarwami, Sampath CPI Manipal, Shrikanth CPI Brahmavar, Ravikumar PSI Malpe and other Police officers were present at the spot.

Prasanna Kumar Shetty, Vijeyendra Shetty, Ramesh Shetty, Ansar Ahamed, Santhosh Shetty Panjimar and others were present.
