CCB Police Arrest Ganja Peddler at Talapady, Seize 2 Kgs of Ganja

Mangaluru: The CCB police have arrested a man while peddling Ganja from Kerala on July 20.

The arrested has been identified as Jamal (35), a resident of Kottarigudde Gurupur, Mangaluru.

According to the police on July 20, on getting information that a white Honda Activa was on its way from Kerala to Mangaluru peddling Ganja, the CCB police arrested Jamal at Talapady Toll Gate and seized 2 Kgs of Ganja, Honda Activa and a Mobile phone all worth Rs 1.15 lakh from the accused.

During interrogation, Jamal revealed that he brought the Ganja from Uppala, Kerala to sell in Mangaluru. Jamal was involved in a twin murder case in 2000, Puttubava murder case registered in Mangaluru Rural police station and an attempt to murder case. The accused has been handed over to the Ullal Police for further investigation.

Under the direction of Police Commissioner T R Suresh and under the guidance of DCP Law and Order Shantharaju, DCP Crime and Traffic Hanumantharaya and ACP CCRB Valentine D’Souza the operation was carried out by CCB Inspector Sunil Y Naik, PSI Shyam Sundar and team.
