Champions League win best moment of my career: Neymar

Berlin, June 7 (IANS) Striker Neymar has hailed Barcelona’s 3-1 Champions League final victory over Juventus as the best moment of his career.

Barcelona’s victory on Saturday sealed the treble for the Catalan giants and saw them become the first side ever to achieve the feat twice, having also done so in 2009 under coach Pep Guardiola.

“I’ve had so many wonderful moments, today (Saturday), surely, is the best moment of my career. It’s my biggest party,” Neymar was quoted as saying by ESPN Brazil.

The 23-year-old Brazilian scored his side’s third goal deep into injury-time after Ivan Rakitic and Luis Suarez had found the back of the net either side of Alvaro Morata’s leveller.

“It’s a unique emotion, a unique experience in becoming a champion with such a great team, but I won’t stop here. I started crying because I considered all I went through, everything I dreamed of, my son, the effort, the effort of my family,” he said.

“I’m very happy to be part of this story. Now I think there is nothing left to claim, there is nothing more you can say about me,” Neymar concluded.
