Chris Pratt once worked as amateur stripper

Los Angeles, June 10 (IANS) Hollywood actor Chris Pratt, who will be seen in the action-adventure film “Jurassic World”, has confessed that he once worked as an amateur stripper.

Pratt, 35, opened up about his struggling past in the July issue of The Red Bulletin, reported aceshowbiz.com.

“I was always a very much naked person. I loved to always get naked,” the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star said.

“I was very free, so I thought, ‘I may as well get paid.’ ”

The 35-year-old actor dropped out of college in his first semester. Since then, he sought a job that could support himself. His job as a discount ticket agent was short-lived which led him to work as a stripper. He dubbed himself a “cheap Magic Mike” because he was paid $40 for each performance.

The actor also admitted that his career in Hollywod didn’t go smoothly. He once auditioned for “Avatar”, but failed to make the cut.

“That’s just one of the movies I auditioned for and didn’t get. I wasn’t getting any parts. None! I tried for almost every movie you didn’t see me in,” he told the magazine.

Pratt is currently busy promoting the highly-anticipated “Jurassic World” which will be released in the US on June 12.

The movie features Chris Pratt, joined by Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Ty Simpkins, Judy Greer, Omar Sy and Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan.
