City Sizzles but Sky Dazzles with Thundershowers Elsewhere

Mangaluru: As the city recorded the maximum temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 27.2 degree Celsius on Saturday, in other areas it was a mixed fare. A death too was reported from Indabettu in Beltangady.

Parts of Beltangady, Puttur, and Sullia taluks had heavy to moderate rain. Early in the morning of Thursday, rains hit Vittal, Ullal, Bajpe, Kadaba, Suratkal, and Uppinangady.

Lightning hit the earth connection pit of the house belonging to Jagadish, injuring many members of the house. Jagadish was the worst affected. He later died in the hospital.
