Comedian Saptagiri turns hero with ‘Saptagiri Express

Chennai, Oct 3 (IANS) Comedian Saptagiri, known for working in Telugu films such as “Beeruva”, “Loafer” and “Sankarabharanam”, is all set to play the lead in the upcoming comedy “Saptagiri Express”.

“I had no intentions of becoming a hero. Producer Ravi Kirane is a doctor by profession and when I met him a few months ago, he expressed his interest to produce a film. I wrote the script of ‘Saptagiri Express’ and I need to thank Ravi for believing in me,” Saptagiri told IANS.

The film is an adaption of Tamil comedy “Thirudan Police”, and it will be directed by Arun Pawar.

“We have already completed the shoot and are gearing up for release,” he said.

Roshini Prakash plays the leading lady.
